A Week to Land – Family camp

A nature-immersed family experience, rooted in the worldschooling spirit. One week on a forested hillside in Skiathos. Children creating, exploring, and fully held. Parents with space to breathe, rest, and land somewhere that feels like home.

Everything included. Nothing left to organise.

You chose this life because it felt alive. The freedom, the adventure, the way your children light up when the world becomes their classroom. You wouldn’t trade it for anything.

And yet. Some mornings the planning feels endless. The deciding, the researching, the making sure everyone is okay, while quietly wondering who is making sure you are.

Picture a hillside in Skiathos, Greece. Forest above you, sea below, where your children are joyfully engaged while you remember what it feels like to sit still. Someone else is cooking. The tent is already set up. The week is already planned.

All you have to do is arrive.

A Week to Land

Where children create and parents gently return to themselves
Skiathos, Greece

Choose your week...

Two weeks, two different creative worlds. Same hillside, same rhythm, same magic, different children’s workshops and a different group of people to land with.

Week One: Earth & Clay
9 - 16 August 2026

Grounded and slow. Children work with clay, shaping, building, getting beautifully messy. They learn what it feels like to make something from nothing, to sit with a material that doesn’t hurry them.

The signature moment

Together, the children decorate the pizza oven with their clay work, pressing shapes and patterns into the surface, leaving their mark on something that stays on the land long after they’ve gone.

Week Two: Colours & Cultures 16 - 23 August 2026

Vibrant and wide open. Over two mornings, children share the cultures that have stayed with them from their travels, a word, a gesture, a pattern, a colour. Then on Thursday, it all becomes one thing.

The signature moment

The whole group paints a shared wall together. Every child’s piece finding its place alongside everyone else’s. A mural that carries this week, this group, and everyone who will gather around it after.

Both weeks share the same rhythm and magic. Morning circles, vegetarian meals cooked fresh daily, beach excursions, the wooden sailboat day on Wednesday, and the Mamma Mia night on Friday. What changes is what the children create, and the particular group of people you land with.

FAQ

The guided morning sessions are designed for children aged 5 to 12. Younger children are welcome, with a parent present throughout. Do keep in mind that some of the week's activities, like the hikes and the boat day, are easier to fully enjoy when little ones are a bit more independent. Only you know your child.

Teenagers are welcome too. The week tends to work for them in its own way. A little more freedom, a little less structure, and often a surprising sense of purpose when the younger children naturally look up to them.

Absolutely, and we thought about you specifically. We have a double tent, two igloos linked by a shared common space, designed exactly for solo parents who want to share the week with another family. A little co-parenting for seven days, with your own private space to retreat to. Several families come this way and it tends to work beautifully.
We even have something waiting for you in the brochure — go and have a look. There are only two spots per week, and they won't last long.

Not at all. Families who home-ed, unschool, travel-school, or simply feel drawn to a different kind of week are all welcome here. What you share is less a label and more a feeling, that the world is a pretty good classroom.

Skiathos in summer is reliably sunny, but the forest has its own weather. We don't have indoor spaces, this is genuinely outdoor living. If it rains, we protect the tents with tarps and keep the rhythm going. If it really pours, we gather in the caravans and the container. It's cosy, a little improvised, and honestly it tends to become a favourite memory.

Not at all. The camp runs in English, and the group is usually international.

Simply fill in the booking form. Everything is taken care of from there. Places are limited, so if you feel the pull, it's worth doing it sooner rather than later.
