Who are you ?

Hello! My name is Selkie (they/them) I’m an artist and student of the world coming from the U.S. I have a love and passion for community living, baking, and nature adventures. I came to the Joy’ce Kingdom to explore these interests further and deepen my connection to alternative education practices, take time for introspection, and live aligned with my values….. and have a lot of fun!

Your journey before the Kingdom

 I was initially traveling around to a few queer communities around the globe, and following friendship and intuition I was lead around the world from Europe to India and further still! I’m still finding ways to travel sustainably but spending time with people in their homes makes the experience a million times more fulfilling and interesting. I happened to find the Kingdom on Couchsurfing!

What do you bring with you?

I bring a background in childcare, community cooking, conflict mediation, gardening knowledge, and a curiosity to learn new skills here! I’m always around to share a tea break, or to tell a few jokes with anyone who inquires.

What are you hoping to find?

I am hoping to continue building this beautiful place, physically and energetically, as well as to spend time with Ilektra and her family! I wish to explore the magic forest below, and discover the secrets that lie buried in the nooks and crannies of the Kingdom!

And when you look ahead…

The future is unknown, but I dream of more time in community, learning cosmetology and herbalism further, joining anarchist reading groups, and cooking delicious meals for people I love.
